Spring in Germany

Tomorrow is beginning of spring. My mom is from Germany and I love German spring.
German winters are cold and frosty, but spring is always a joy and lets all snow melt.

Winter
Spring!

The trees and bushes in spring explode with blossoms in beautiful colors.

Flowers emerge from ground that had just been covered with snow.

My aunt's outdoor is trampoline is ready for use again and my favorite thing to do is jump into spring with my brother!

Dogs can nap outside in the warm spring sun and gnomes come out to make front yards pretty.

Many people on my grandma's and aunt's street are decorating their bushes to get ready for the holidays.
I am really looking forward to celebrate spring and Easter with my family but wished I could see my German family and friends this year too!

What is your favorite part about spring?
What is your favorite season?

                             HAPPY SPRING!

  1. Dear Kelly,
Great post. I love all the photos that you took. My favorite were the Leon and Kelly snowmans. They look so cute standing side by side. When was the last time you visited Germany? It seems like your aunt lives in a beautiful place. Will you visit again this summer?

Spring is my favorite season. Everything is green and bright and the air smells sweet from the blooms. Luckily I don't have allergies and can enjoy it.

Keep up with the great posts.

    Best,
    Victoria

    Dear Kelly,

What a terrific post about spring! I have never been to Germany, but my father's side of the family is German. They lived in Bonn, so I should go sometime and trace my ancestry!

My favorite photos are the ones of the flowers. The daffodils and tulips are some of my favorite types of blossoms. How often do you go to Germany? Do you speak German? If not, you should learn from your mom! Then you'll be bilingual!

Do you have any flowers growing in your backyard right now?

    Your proud teacher,
    Mrs. Y♥llis

    1. Dear Mrs.Yollis,

Thank you for your comment. I also adore looking at the colorful daffodils and tulips!
The only green in my backyard grows on a steep hill behind the pool, but the rosemary bushes are blooming with pretty little purple flowers and there is a hedge with lots of white blossoms. Hummingbirds like them!

We go to Germany almost every year. I do not speak lots of German, but I do know how to count, understand some phrases and say a few words. I hope you will go to Germany some time, it is really beautiful. My Grandma's house in not too far away from Bonn!

I hope you are having a great spring!

      Love,
      Kelly♥

  4. Dear Kelly,

My favorite part about Spring is picking fruits and vegetables from my trees. I have oranges, apples, mango, lettuce, and tomatoes. Do you like any of these fruits and vegetables?

My favorite season is summer. The best part of summer is jumping in my pool and going on my bouncy trampoline. I cherish the hot, humid beach weather.

What is your favorite part of summer?

    Sincerely,

    1. Dear Kelly,

I treasure your post because my favorite season is spring because my birthday is close to spring, that's when all the baby animals are born, I like picking the fruit, and all the flowers bloom. I pick avocados, lemons, limes, oranges, apricots, mint, parsley, rosemary, and peppermint. All the flowers and trees I see bloom are Jasmine, Oak Trees, Sequoia Trees, and lots of others, but I can't name them all.

My second favorite season is summer because we visit lots of places. We visit Mammoth to go bike riding, Yosemite to camp, Massachusetts to visit my Nana, and we go to my friends' house and go swimming.

My third favorite season is winter because we ski a lot in the winter at Mammoth and we have fires and watch movies. The bad thing is I get sick during winter.

I think you probably know what the fourth is, but I will tell you. It is fall! I like fall because U10 in soccer is starting. I don't like fall because my family gets sick then me.

What is your favorite part about the four seasons?

      Sincerely,
      ♥Ell♥e♥

    3. Dear Etai,

      Thank you for your comment!

Unfortunately we do not grow any vegetables or fruits in our yard. I don't like mangos or tomatoes, but I'd still like to grow them. I love oranges though and my mom says she wants to grow some lettuce, herbs and carrots and strawberries! That would be fun.

I love summer too, especially because I have an August birthday. I can't wait!
I also enjoy swimming in the pool with friends and eating ice cream.

      Love,

      Kelly♥

  5. Dear Ellie,

Thank you for your wonderful comment. You know a lot about nature!

My favorite part about spring are the beautiful flowers and blossoms.
My most favorite thing in summer is my birthday! I also love travelling and my favorite place is Venice , Italy. Venice has no roads but water channels and we had to take a boat to our hotel!
I like fall because of Halloween and I adore snow in winter.
My favorite thing to do during winter break is to drive to Big Bear and go skiing and sledding!

    Love,

    ♥ Kelly

  6. Dear Kelly,

What a glorious post! It is so pretty in Germany when it is Spring! I have never been to Germany, but I would love to someday! It looks like a lot of fun jumping on the trampoline, and jumping into your big brother! My mom was born in Wichita, Kansas. In Kansas there are a lot of tornadoes, so I have never been there, but when I was little my brother, my babysitter, and I played games and I would say I was born in Kansas!

My favorite season is summer! I love summer because where I live it is so nice and pretty. The birds are singing, you can go swimming, and most of all you can play with all your friends!

I think that my favorite part of spring is when you are jumping into another season, and you know that summer is next! :♥)

What is your favorite part of summer?

    Sincerely,
    Sasha♥♥

    1. Dear Sasha,

Thank you for your fantastic comment! I would love to go to Kansas but not on the day of a tornado! I agree with you: summer is the best. My favorite part about summer is that it holds my birthday!
Jumping into spring for me is amazing because everything is so colorful and we might go to Germany and jump the trampoline :0)
Do your brother and babysitter still call you a Kansas tornado?

  7. Dear Kelly,

Those photos of the blooming flowers are gorgeous! Spring in Germany is beautiful, and it looks like snow melts very fast. I wish we get snow in Southern California. I can imagine us sliding on our sleds and playing with our friends. The only thing I don't like about snow is that it is too cold. Do you like snow?

My favorite seasons are summer and spring. My favorite part about summer is jumping into the pool and having a lot of fun when I am hot. I also like summer because it is so warm I like warm weather much more than cold weather. What do you like about summer?

My favorite part about spring is walking around my neighborhood and looking at the glorious flowers that have been blooming. I also like the weather in spring because it is not too hot and too cold. I hope you will visit my blog.

    Sincerely,
    Sarah
